Internship and part time jobs
- Student support
For undergraduate students we only offer internships for hospitality students. For Master level Internships are included each year in the two year program.
In Switzerland the majority of Internships in fact demand a fairly high level of German or French skills.
As a result of this IBAS focus more on global oriented internships which give our students better skills building experience.
For our undergraduate Hospitality students internships globally is included in the fee. And we guarantee internships but we focus on it globally not locally.
Students can look for internship position themselves and the school will assist them in their quest as well.
By law, international students in Zurich are allowed to work up to 15 hours per week during the semester and full time during holidays. Students can look for part time jobs while studying in our programs. IBAS can assist the students to find part time jobs by introducing them to some of our local partner companies.
On average, students can expect to get a monthly salary of CHF 1,600 working part time and the salary can go up to CHF 3,500 during holidays and high season due to the increase in demand for workforce.
The salary generated from part time job is enough to cover students’ living expenses in Switzerland and the extra they get during holidays can contribute to pay their tuition fees.
By helping students to work part time, IBAS enhances their sense of responsibility and encourages them to become independent and productive individuals.
